And so it begins

June 8, 2022. Retirement. Packing. Help with moving. And the RVDuo (plus one – Boomer the Lab) are beginning an adventure.

The first step – load a UHaul with all items to be stored and drive across country to a place near our niece. We have two days to finish packing, loading and then are on our way.

June 9. Whew! What are we thinking?!?! After a late start and a couple of near misses with wildlife, we arrived at our first location safe and sound. A few hours sleep, and off we go again.

June 10. We are in a different state. There is more driving. (Did I mention there is no cruise control. Yikes!) On and on and on it goes.

June 12. We have made a turn south and found our first Waffle House. Yum! Hubby was very happy with his country ham!

June 13. The first photo of the RVDuo at one of the many stops for fuel. Yes, we are alive and well. A tad road-weary, but we are getting there.

June 15. We arrived at our destination. We are tired, but we are here. The first trip across country is complete. Tomorrow we unload the items into storage, visit with family, have dinner with them, and rest.

Just like that – week one is done.
